The City of Lloydminster reached substantial completion of their new Wastewater Treatment
Facility upgrades on November 13, 2023. The city procured the Design/Construction Team for the
IPD (Integrated Project Delivery) project in late of 2019 and onboarding of the IPD Team was
completed in January of 2020. A budget of 81.5 million dollars was set with a deadline of December
1, 2023, and this presentation will discuss how the team achieved that goal through IPD by better
controlling costs, mitigating risk, providing cost certainty through collaboration and innovation.
With the completion of this project it has received awards on a local, provincial and national level.
